Click Here to Attend the Talk - Boost VC decided to make the conversation live to the public.
Every day we hear amazing people coming to their own conclusions about what is going to happen in the current financial markets, referencing the DotCom boom and bust as their data source. We listened to all these people, and I realized one very important fact - very few of these people we were listening to had lived through the DotCom boom and bust.
Right then and there, during that realization we shot off an email to Marc Andreessen and Tim Draper - both who have lived through multiple market swings including the Internet, and 2008. We felt that these two titans could share experience and insights that could boost hope in the market.
My Dad, Tim Draper was the first βInternetβ branded investor during Web.1.
Marc Andreessen, was a co-founder of Netscape, the first internet explorer.
They both are credited with inventing important protocols for Web1:
Tim Draper, the inventor of Viral Marketing
Marc Andreessen an inventor of SSL (the first encryption layer for the internet)
We will be focusing on what it was like going through the Dot-Com Boom and bust, What they would recommend founders/investors think about, and what they wished they would have done in that market vs. actually did.
The event is live. Please attend if you want to learn!!
