π― people underestimate the value (and impact) of the media we consume. And not just for work, but social relationships too. Just think how many conversations over the last year eventually drifted to "so...are you reading any good books?"
But why stop at reading? What about the podcasts you listen to, or the movies/shows you watch? Every piece of media we consume is a potential conversation starter β or as you put it, a stumbling block to your next discovery. A lot of my peers don't read at all, something that I find interesting. For me, reading is a really great refresh, books like Ready Player One, Armada(I really enjoy Ernest Cline) and Fahrenheit 451 are amazing and help me in my day-to-day life and my future, giving me things to think about.. Really great post!
